Judge does have qualities but I am not sure how extensive those qualities would be useful and if so, how rarely? I mean its great to have a specialist on the team but lately ingame skills/expertise/profession have been totally useless for the last month of meetings with CCP games.
There will be a time where Judge would be useful, he has to be prepared for the times his knowledge base is not going to help him.

Not to discourage/encourage him or anything but I do feel Judge is far more useful making the videos. CCP watches them rather intently.

I have no intention of stopping the videos. Plus as listed here I play Frorge gun, Swarms, Proto Assault Advanced logi, Tanks and more. I have a main interest, as we all do, but it no way at all all I do. One section of the community needed a voice. Just becasue I spoke up on it does not mean it is the only thing I can say.
Of course, lately though CPM has little action that required game play, I would discuss but NDA and all. Right now the CPM had to do a quick round of security tightening after a couple attempts to get info.

IRL I run million dollar projects in the legal industry as a senior project manager with up to 40 staff. Meetings, NDAs, timelines, budgets, P and L ... I can do more then fire a charged shot from my templar scrambler rifle.
I used to maintain multiples of multi-million dollar objects in peak working condition under great duress with a staff of four because that was the number deemed necessary for our needs though at times I'd been wishing it been double. Quality maintained has to be top notch because the price of anything else is going to get someone killed. I already picked up one mess already because of such mistake made by another person.
Diplomacy is required between my department and other departments, customers, those in charge of my department, and logistics when it comes to arranging resource allocation. Participated in developing a process that will have estimated savings for the US government into the millions.
Breach of my Top Secret Security Clearance would surmount to that of treason; punishable by death.
Knowing when to tell the customer to respectfully F off is a highly critical skill in correcting product usage behaviors.
I can do more than do stupid things in a shooter. :P
Aside from that if you want to go at it be my guest, if you want some thought exercises on the possible stuff you'd might deal with as a CPM feel free to ask I'll be happy to provide some scenarios.

Damn dude, please, tell CCP how they should be doing that themselves, realise that we're all damn lucky that we have people that do this so well amongst our peers, and understand that having in-game experience encompasses only *half* the qualities required to do a good job in a CPM. If all CPM(x) contenders had the attitude and approach (flying puns, cool) that Judge has, we'd be well on the way to a better game.
The community team at CCP does a pretty good job finding resources on the internet that players have made to share with the development team. CPM is able to help out find these sort of things but overall they're beating the CPM to the punches on most case. They're good at it.
I would say though its about time to start campaigning for the first elected cpm anyways.

This is why I can not believe IWS ever handled several million dollars in assets for a company. You never correct product usage behaviors by telling your costumer to f off.
Customer keeps bringing in broken piece of a certain equipment, costs me 150,000 USD to repair it. This specific customer has a wear out rate nearly 150x higher than similar customers. Customer then requests repaired part in time and I refused service, this quickly divulges into his boss calling my boss who then calls his bosses boss who then yells at the customer on why in the hell are they breaking things 150x faster than the rest of the community. Person is then demoted to a task unworthy of his position and this just absolutely kills his chances at any future promotions.
Another scenario a customer demands a part that is only done on an exchange premise only, because technically regardless of the physical location of that part I am still ultimate custodian of that part and I have already assigned over a selection of parts for their use. Customer resented the idea and demands a spare part to be provided. Several heated calls later, EPA was brought in for investigation and fine issuing because the part in question was indeed 'missing' for 'unknown' reasons. That customer never repeated that mistake again.
I particularly did not enjoy that week however as the investigation put my center under investigation too to see I kept my paperwork in proper order and all parts proper disposed and contained.
I can prattle on a larger number of incidents as well but I image it would get boring. For example strictly warning against abuse of my center's owned equipment... Unheeded did lead to what we warned about, injury and serious damage to equipment. Improper procedure severely damaging a 14 million dollar unit and put it out of commission for 1 month. Which by the time was finally repaired had to get expensively re-certified.

Judge Rhadamanthus wrote:Specific job responsibilities have no direct relation to the CPM here. IWS can clearly handle responsibility, no matter the detail of his job. If he was looking after a child or delivered newspapers it would still show he had the skills to manage his time and prioritise tasks. It came up as IWS talked about there being more than game experience as a requirement for effective participation in the CPM. My short response about work was an example of my ability to do more than DUST. The CPM requires time and commitment. That was the purpose of my example. But my videos also demonstrate this. The time I put into the game actually playing it shows my commitment to the game. The time and the detail I put into my videos shows the efforts I will go to to, not just raise an issue, but actually demonstrate it. And I then go on to to offer solutions. I don't just talk about DUST while a game plays in the background. I care about the facts and present them to you. When I say something I try to show it so you know I am basing my opinion of data and evidence. This is the quality I would bring to a CPM. I am not just talking about issues; I am living them, and I talk to many people in game. Many of the issues I raise are based on talking to players. I am not simply stating my opinion. I am trying to take the issue of others and help players who do not play dropships understand. Why should we expect a swarm player to understand our issues? They don't fly, how would they know that they are too tiny to see from up there? watch my interview on Bamm Havocs channel and listen to a Forge gunner (him) and a Pilot (me) talk through the issues. The dropship camera has always been a hot topic. I was asked in a thread by players if I could discuss the camera issues we have, so i took the time to gather footage from all the builds and put them side by side. This was to help the community give better feedback to the developers. An issue arose and I acted as requested by the community. A great game by developers; made greater by its community
John get its, he has my endorsement.
